For 5 years, Tekna has partnered with Michigan Design Council’s Design Prize in collaboration with K-12 students, tackling a design challenge that combats societal issues linked to Michigan and beyond. This year’s challenge was to inspire healthy exercise for K-12 students. The inspired team to tackle this challenge was made up of Branch Area Career Center 11th grade students Caleb Jones, Steven Covell and Brianna Omo with educator lead, Marvin Gage. From Tekna, Kyle Spieker and Tony De Leo provided guidance and insights from an Industrial Design perspective.

Nashua, NH — DAPR Engineering expands capabilities and speed of Re:Build Engineering Services group, develop industrial automation and process equipment. On Aug. 4, Re:Build Manufacturing (Framingham, Mass., U.S.) acquired DAPR Engineering (Nashua, N.H., U.S.) which significantly expands and adds capabilities to the company’s Engineering Services group. This follows the acquisitions of Cutting Dynamics Inc. (CDI, Avon, Ohio, U.S.) in May 2021, composites fabricator Composite Resources (Rock Hill, S.C., U.S.) in March 2021 and Oribi Manufacturing (Commerce City, Colo., U.S.) in late 2020.

Re:Build Manufacturing Continues to Expand Advanced Materials Group with the Acquisition of Wonder Machine Services, Inc.

This acquisition will aid Re:Build’s continued expansion in aerospace, defense, high-performance industrial, and consumer product market segments.

Wonder Machine will be a cornerstone of Re:Build’s continued expansion in aerospace, defense, high-performance industrial, and consumer product market segments. Founded in 1976, Wonder Machine is the most recent addition to Re:Build Manufacturing’s Advanced Material Group. Over the last 45 years, Wonder Machine has built significant process knowledge and capacity to produce high-tolerance machine components in a dedicated, AS9100 accredited facility. Wonder Machine specializes in precision CNC machining, CNC milling, turning, and prototyping, with a particular knowledge base developed around ultra-high-tolerance components for mission critical applications, and supporting multi-year, volume production programs. Wonder Machine will operate as a part of Re:Build CDI, a diversified manufacturer of metallic and composite components and assemblies, also located in Avon, OH.
