Pioneering Vertically Integrated Solutions

In 2004, a pivotal acquisition of Eastman Kodak’s Engineering and Construction divisions transformed Re:Build Optimation from a design-focused firm to a fully integrated engineering and fabrication powerhouse. This integration allowed us to bring together cutting-edge engineering expertise with hands-on fabrication capabilities—all under one roof.

Today, we excel in delivering tailored solutions across a range of industries, including Specialty Chemicals & Materials; Hydrogen, Fuels & Energy; Glass & Ceramic; Food & Beverage, Discrete Industrial Products, and now Pharma & Biotech—a new focus for our future. Our ability to seamlessly design, engineer, and fabricate ensures that we can address the most complex challenges in manufacturing.

The Strength of Our Trades Team and Apprenticeship Program

Our team of over 60 skilled trades professionals is a cornerstone of Re:Build Optimation’s success. From certified welders and pipefitters to electricians and machine builders, our experts have decades of experience building reliable and precise systems. Their expertise extends to working with hazardous environments, high-pressure systems, and custom equipment fabrication, ensuring quality and safety on every project.

In recognition of the importance of cultivating the next generation of skilled craftsmen, we established a robust apprenticeship program. This initiative pairs apprentices in welding, pipefitting, electrical work, and millwrights with master tradespeople, fostering the transfer of critical skills and knowledge. Certified in ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1 for pressure vessels and UL508a for control panels, our trades team consistently delivers excellence while mentoring future industry leaders.

A Legacy of Collaboration and Growth

Our history is defined by strong relationships—with employees, clients, and partners. Many of our partnerships span decades, built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to innovation. Today, as part of the Re:Build Manufacturing family, Re:Build Optimation is poised for even greater growth and impact.

With over 100 engineers and trades professionals and 154,000 square feet of engineering and fabrication space across three locations, we are equipped to take on projects of any scale. Our capabilities in modular process systems, automated test & assembly systems, system integration, field services, and roll-to-roll processing position us to meet the evolving needs of modern manufacturing.
