The Re:Build Composite Resources story begins in a North Carolina garage in 1992. From the beginning, Re:Build Composite Resources was devoted to high-speed problem solving using advanced composite materials. It was a one-stop shop for design, prototyping, and production. Eventually, this part-time garage project blossomed into a state-of-the-art composite powerhouse specializing in engineering, tooling design and production, component production, and composite machining supporting industry leading clients in a variety of markets.
Our team has a strong track record of supporting customers across a range of industries through long-term partnerships and production programs. For example, we’ve recently scaled up production for a complex application that reached its highest volume in years, including expanding our logistics network to support international shipments. Our engineering and procurement teams played a key role in qualifying new materials when an existing supplier phased out a critical input. Drawing on our deep expertise in composites and supply chain management, we ensured uninterrupted production for a high-stakes program.
In another instance, we rapidly ramped up manufacturing for an advanced vehicle platform, increasing output to dozens of assemblies per month. This program involved standardizing parts, developing efficient batch processes, and implementing CNC trimming techniques to enhance precision and throughput. We transitioned from prototype to production tooling, which enabled multi-part manufacturing and significantly improved efficiency. Cost-reduction initiatives and design optimizations have allowed us to pass savings back to the customer while improving overall product performance.
Additionally, we’ve supported highly specialized projects in the defense sector, providing full lifecycle services from design and engineering through fabrication and coatings. Our team delivered initial production units for a technically demanding optical system and has continued to support the customer through additional orders. By collaborating closely with their engineering team, we delivered valuable design-for-manufacturability feedback, improving both quality and scalability. Our broad capabilities and responsive approach have helped drive continued growth in this strategic partnership.
