Member Company Feature
Located in Avon, Ohio, Re:Build Cutting Dynamics is a component manufacturer specializing in precision machining, hydroforming, hot-forming titanium, assemblies, and kitted products for the aerospace industry. We create high-quality metallic components that can fulfill high volumes, meet strict standards, provide advanced techniques and materials, and use high-quality processes to produce safe and reliable parts that meet the requirements of aerospace applications.
For over four decades, Re:Build Cutting Dynamics has earned a reputation for precision, reliability, and consistently delivering high-quality hardware for mission-critical applications. The company began as a traditional machine shop and has expanded steadily as customer needs have become more complex. Over the years, we have continuously invested in modern equipment, skilled technicians, structured program management, and a comprehensive quality system that supports the stringent requirements of regulated industries.
This steady evolution positioned us to support larger and more technically demanding programs across aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. In 2021, Cutting Dynamics was acquired by Re:Build Manufacturing, joining a nationwide network focused on strengthening American manufacturing through advanced processes, workforce development, and long-term capability building. As part of this ecosystem, we continue to grow while maintaining the craftsmanship and operational discipline that have defined the company for more than forty years.
Re:Build Cutting Dynamics offers titanium hot forming and hydroforming capabilities that expand the possibilities for complex metallic structures. Hydroforming uses high-pressure hydraulic fluid to shape metal into intricate geometries, producing strong, lightweight, and highly consistent parts with uniform wall thickness, minimal material waste, and excellent surface finish. Hot forming enhances precision by eliminating springback, allows the creation of complex shapes with tight radii, and helps prevent cracking in difficult-to-form materials like titanium, ensuring the integrity and performance of the final component. Together, these processes deliver parts with repeatable dimensional accuracy and high performance for demanding aerospace and defense applications. In addition to metallic forming, we operate a thermoplastic composite manufacturing line that produces durable, impact-resistant parts, supporting customers who require advanced materials or hybrid metal-composite assemblies.
Beyond machining, forming, and composite manufacturing, we offer fabrication, assembly, painting, and finishing services, enabling customers to receive complete and ready-to-install components. Painting and finishing operations ensure parts meet durability and corrosion resistance requirements, while assembly operations support everything from simple multi-part builds to more complex mechanical configurations.
Quality is central to every stage of the production process. Re:Build Cutting Dynamics maintains a robust quality framework that includes advanced inspection capabilities, strict process control, and full traceability. Our commitment to excellence is validated through our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100 certifications, establishing our adherence to internationally recognized quality, environmental, and aerospace standards. This comprehensive structure supports the needs of our customers by ensuring consistency across parts and programs.
Customers typically engage with us when they need a manufacturing partner capable of producing complex components and assemblies that must reliably meet precise specifications. The team collaborates with customers early in the production planning process to confirm manufacturability, review processing requirements, and establish a production approach that supports accurate, repeatable, and efficient outcomes.
As part of Re:Build Manufacturing, we continue to invest in new equipment, facility improvements, workforce development, and additional manufacturing capabilities that expand our ability to support growing customer demand while serving as a vital contributor to the broader Re:Build mission to advance American manufacturing.
Capability Highlight: Kitting Program
In addition to manufacturing and assembly, Re:Build Cutting Dynamics offers specialized kitting services for UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft maintenance and repair operations. Our Sikorsky Phase Maintenance Kits were developed based on OEM expertise and decades of experience in maintenance. These kits are designed to provide precisely what is needed to perform proper preventive maintenance inspections, with no extra or unnecessary parts, and full compliance with Sikorsky technical specifications. Each kit is packaged with color-coded labels that correspond to inspection zones on the aircraft, and each part is clearly marked to indicate its proper installation location. This attention to detail helps ensure efficient, accurate maintenance while minimizing the potential for errors.
The kitting program showcases our ability to deliver tailored, customer-focused solutions that extend beyond traditional manufacturing. By combining precise part production, assembly, and intelligent packaging, the program enables customers to streamline their operations, save time, and maintain mission-critical equipment with confidence.
